6th National Congress of the Israeli Society of Civil, Structural and Infra-structural Engineers

David Fisher was invited to be the keynote speaker at this annual event, which brought together around 1,500 specialists in the real estate field.  It was an opportunity to present the new era of construction.

Due to urgent commitments in Central America, Dr Fisher presentation was held by Lorenzo Mercolini of Dynamic Team, an engineer that graduated in Paris.

Mercolini was very impressed by the interest he found in the new structural and construction approach of Fisher’s tower, expressed by the Israeli engineers.  Israel is well known for being a leading world country when it comes to science and technology.

The main message that Dynamic Architecture, initiated by the Tel Aviv born Florentine architect, is indeed that architecture should be a result of logic and designed by engineering.

The new approach of the renowned architect, coming from the “City of Art”, puts the engineers in a different position comparing to their “standing” of today, being the ones to make sure that building are sound structurally.

Fisher shows in his presentation the Eiffel Tower that is the most famous world monument, a beautiful shape that is a result of an engineering logic…”in fact, Eiffel was not an architect, but an engineer”…

Other examples are the Concord, the outstanding and beautiful supersonic aircraft, beautifully designed by an engineering logic.

Engineers, according to Fisher, instead of checking and adjusting the drawings of architects…. should have a key role in the design of buildings.
